This is a mock fashion styling project that includes an independent business plan for my own company as a personal stylist. This assignment also includes a mock editorial photo shoot for No. 3 Magazine that includes theme, location, model, and outfits.

Evelin is an undergraduate student at Dominican University. She is majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Merchandising. She has taken several courses that deal with the cut, drape, patterning, and creation of one of a kind garments, so she knows the ins and outs of quality goods that help her make well informed decisions when selecting special items for her clients.

Market Analysis

Evelin's target market is young women between the ages of 18 through 28 who are fun and edgy, love the night life in thriving cities, take inspiration from celebrities, and are not afraid to stand out in the crowd.

Personal Stylist Rates and Fees

Closet Assessment, Organization, and Cleanse

This service includes a full assessment and inventory of the clients closet. Evelin will give suggestions as to which items should be kept, donated, sold, re purposed, or altered.

Alterations and Re Purposing

With her background in sewing a design, Evelin also offers alteration and sewing services for items that her clients want to give a new, more fashionable life.

Wardrobe Startup

This service includes Evelin creating 15 outfits out of the clients current closet and a few additions from shopping. These outfits will be perfect for every day activities like work, meetings, dinners, lunch with friends, and casual plans. They will help the client get an idea of which looks and styles are best for every day of her life based on her activities. Evelin will make sure to teach her client which silhouettes, style lines, colors, and fabrics are most suitable for her body and the type of activity she will be partaking. This mini collection of outfits will also serve as inspiration for future outfits she herself can create on her own in the future if she desires.

Personal Shopping Trip

This service includes a shopping trip where Evelin will teach her client where to shop when looking for quality and style when looking for one of a kind items to enhance her wardrobe. She will take her client to the best shops, boutiques, and luxury good stores and teach her what to look for when shopping for her body shape, features, and even she is shopping for. Online shopping is also included in this service.

Special Event Styling

This service offers styling for big events such as weddings and parties. Evelin will make sure to have her client looking absolutely extravagant. Evelin will also help her pick hair and makeup that are most impactful, and set up appointments to have them done at recognized locations.

Theme: Reflections on Art and Purpose

Story and Layout: New York is a city that never sleeps- Its streets light up the night all the way until dawn. This photo shoot aims to use the amazing city landscape to depict various fun nightlife inspired outfits that mix art and city life, reminding us that what we wear is a visible representation of who we are and who we wish to be.

Fernanda Oliveira is a Brazilian model who works for Ford Models New York. She started modeling at age 16, and has since been featured as a Proenza Schouler exclusive, a Saint Laurent exclusive, and has gone on to appear on the cover of Vogue Brasil. She is known to be playful, nonchalant, and gives her photographer an edgy aesthetic.

A a personal stylist, Evelin's mission is to help her clients feel confident and powerful. She understands the importance of making a statement with ones clothing, and works hard to find items and accessories that are one of a kind and flatter the wearers body. Evelin keeps up on trends and knows exactly what will make a lasting effect on others.
